I’m completing a degree in Applied Mathematics in Engineering as part of my apprenticeship with CLdN. At CLdN I work with highly-skilled and capable business analysts, and help senior management make decisions on investments or improvements, from existing procedures to introducing new employee welfare benefits. CLdN offers an ‘all-inclusive’ environment to prosper in. The company is ready to invest in you and support your development by providing a flexible working environment and upskilling programmes.
Being an analyst is like no other job. One day I investigate shipping volumes, the next, staff performance and punctuality. The excitement of a ‘new career’ is ever-present in my role as I learn something new every day – nothing gets to be usual here. On a recent project I investigated the electricity consumption of refrigerated container units passing through the port. I collected different sets of data for analysing and spoke to various teams. I saw what ‘a day in the job’ means to others. There’s no ‘day in the job’, as it always changes.
