Your role                                                                                               

As a Multiskilled Operative, you will support the maintenance team ensuring a safe and efficient operation is achieved in the general maintenance of terminal groundwork in and around the port environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • To carry out any works as requested within timescales provided.
  • Assist contractors and other trades persons as and when required and as directed.
  • Work as part of a team delivering high standards at all times.
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies.
  • Manage own workload effectively and raise any issues with Line Manager effectively.
  • Be prepared to transfer and work at any other site where the Company conduct’s it’s business.
  • Be prepared to attend site on a call out basis as and when required.
  • Assist the UK Technical Manager in maintaining a high level of H&S practices  at all times, particularly Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments within their area.
  • Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are followed and a positive image of the Company maintained.
  • Undertake any training, determined by management, enabling the post holder to fulfil the role efficiently.
  • Carry out any other duties and tasks within their skill and capability, when requested to do so.

  • Team player, able to work on their own initiative.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
