Due to continuous expansion, we are looking for a colleague to reinforce our IT office based in Wilrijk (Antwerp). 

The Business Analyst is the bridge between the business and IT. He or she analyses the needs, wishes and problems of the customer and the end user, and translates these into clear and feasible solutions. 
The BA is involved in setting up and refining the product backlog, specifying the user stories and acceptance criteria, and testing and documenting the delivered functionalities. To this end, the BA will lead workshops such as event storming sessions, refinementmeetings, creating designs and mockups in Figma and collecting the information and further processing it in azure devops.

The BA is part of the development team and works closely with the Product Owner, the Scrum Master, the other Business Analysts to monitor and optimize the scope, quality and planning of the product.
The BA participates in the most important agile ceremonies, such as the sprint planning and demo/review, the daily stand-up and the sprint retrospective.

Your job

  • Helping and supporting the product owner, Scrum Master and other stakeholders in the clarification and detailed description of their requests. Define the flow on how to evolve from the "As is" towards the "To be" situation. Turning over these requests into user stories.
  • Explaining the user stories to the scrum team, helping the team when it is not clear or when there are questions.
  • Guiding our application support team so they understand the new functionality and so that they can create 
    end user documentation.
  • Making sure that functionality can be used when it goes to production.
  • Guiding and/or organizing Business Acceptance Tests when necessary (bigger projects for example).

 

Your skills

  • You have obtained a higher degree (min. Bachelor level) and minimum 5 year of experience as IT Business analyst;

  • Experience in the logistics sector is a plus;

  • As a CLdN employee you combine creativity with a positive, end user friendly and quality oriented mentality;

  • You have excellent communication and analytical skills;

  • Knowledge in English and Dutch is required;

  • Experience in Agile / Scrum;

  • Experience in UML, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Figma, Figjam, Visual Paradigm...; 

  • You meet the requirements to obtain a legally mandatory positive security clearance for critical functions in the port.
