Due to continuous expansion, we are looking for a colleague to reinforce our IT office based in office in Wilrijk (Antwerp).
In close collaboration with our business analysts and systems & applications teams, you will contribute to building a modern data reporting platform in Microsoft’s Azure environment. Your work will support business expansion and drive data-driven decision-making.
As part of the team, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, dbt, Debezium and Event Hub to ensure efficient and reliable data ingestion and processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform data cleaning, transformation, and enrichment to maintain data quality and integrity.
Develop and implement data models, schemas, and structures to support analytics and reporting needs.
Your Profile
We are looking for a technically skilled and detail-oriented candidate with experience in:
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or similar role;
Strong expertise in cloud platforms (preferably Azure) for building scalable, high-performance data solutions;
Deep knowledge of data modeling (Kimball, Inmon) for efficient and scalable data warehouses;
Skilled in designing and optimizing batch and streaming workflows on Azure Databricks, with Unity Catalog management for data governance, lineage, and access control;
Hands-on experience with real-time data processing using Debezium, Azure Event Hub, and DLT pipelines;
Proficient in dbt for scalable, maintainable data transformations with version control and automated testing;
Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and Terraform is a plus;
Advanced SQL skills with experience in relational databases;
Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools;
You speak and write fluent English; additional languages are a plus;
The ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality and accountability.
