CLdN is one of Europe’s leading multimodal logistics providers, composed of three vertically integrated business activities: CLdN RoRo operates more than 20 modern RoRo vessels offering more than 130 sailings per week. CLdN Cargo owns a fleet of 4500 trailers and 45ft containers and provides door-to-door logistics services, including European full-load transport, freight forwarding and freight management. CLdN Ports owns and operates RoRo ports in England, the Netherlands and Belgium. The roots of the CLdN Group date back to 1928. Due to continuous expansion, we are looking for a colleague to reinforce our IT office based in office in Wilrijk (Antwerp). 

In close cooperation with our analysts, internal developers and an external consulting company, you will build a modern data reporting platform in Microsoft’s Azure environment on top of proprietary databases (on-premise) in order to replace the current reporting solutions. 

 

Your role

Together with the team you will address:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Fivetran to ensure efficient and reliable data ingestion and processing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.

  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and enrichment to ensure data quality and integrity.

  • Develop and implement data models, schemas, and structures to support analytics and reporting needs.

 

Your profile                                                                          

Technically, we are looking for a candidate with competences in the following areas:

  • You have 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar role.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics).

  • Proficiency in building and optimizing data pipelines using Databricks and Fivetran.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Grafana.

  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

  • You are fluent in English. Any additional language is an advantage.

  • You are reliable, well organized, and stress resistant;

  • You work efficiently and are able to perform to a high level of quality and responsibility at all times;
