This is a new challenging role within the Civil Engineering Department, where you will be responsible for monitoring all Civil and Project costs within the UK, including managing variations against budget. 

 

Your role

  • To prepare and manage cost estimates and reports.

  • To ensure Projects are delivered on budget and within scope.

  • To identify and communicate risks to cost delivery in a timely manner to all stakeholders.

  • To meet regularly with the Technical and Project Managers to ensure that you are kept up-to-date on all civil and project costs.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with our customers and workforce.

  • To ensure that Company policies, procedures, best practices and standards are followed and maintained.

  • To be flexible and travel to other Terminals within the group in order to support and work.

Your profile                                                                          

  • Educated to degree level, minimum 2:2 in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management (or equivalent qualifications) 

  • To have proven experience in Cost management which can be demonstrated with work experience

  • Ability to work on your own initiative and be pro-active 

  • Have good IT skills including the use of MS Office

  • Have good communication skills and build effective working relationships at all levels

  • Will have a full, clean driving licence

  • Will be willing to undertake a Basic Disclosure and Barring (DBS) check
